Weight Loss

Unfortunately our society, mostly through the media, praises the lithe, model-like physiques for women. This “ideal” picture of womanhood is ingrained in our psyche. As a result, many women, more so than men, are somewhat dissatisfied with their bodies. In fact you could say that most women’s body image is so bad that having a poor body image is "normal."

We are constantly flooded throught the media, and even more so online, with various fad-based, unproven and untested quick weight-loss programs. Even though some of the programs may work for some people, a committment to a proven, science-based approach is needed to not only lose the weight, butt to also keep it off in the long-term.
